Prayers for Paris and World Peace

We are all devastated of this horrible news
Our love prayers and deepest sympathy for all those in Paris
Lord I pray for world peace and hearts of hate be turned to love

As read on Facebook
Thankful Thirteen

Today we weep with those who weep...and we overcome evil with good.
Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another;
not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
Bless those who persecute you; bless and do not curse.
Rejoice with those who rejoice, and weep with those who weep.
Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on high things, but associate with the humble. Do not be wise in your own opinion.
Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men.
If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”fn says the Lord.
Therefore
“If your enemy is hungry, feed him;
If he is thirsty, give him a drink;
For in so doing you will heap coals of fire on his head.”fn
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Romans 12:9-21

" Obama said. "This is an attack not just on Paris, it's attack not just on the people of France, but this is an attack on all of humanity and the universal values that we share."

Peace is always beautiful.

There's a name for war and killing
there's a name for giving in
when you know another answer
for me the name is sin
but there's still time to turn around
and make all hatred cease
and give another name to living
and we could call it peace

And peace would be the road we walk
each step along the way
and peace would be the way we work
and peace the way we play
And in all we see that's different
and in all the things we know
peace would be the way we look
and peace the way we grow
There's a name for separation
there's a name for first and last
when it's all for us or nothing
for me the name is past
but there's still time to turn around
and make all hatred cease
and give a name to all the future
and we could call it peace
And if peace is what we pray for
and peace is what we give
then peace will be the way we are
and peace the way we live
Yes there still is the time to turn around
and make all hatred cease
and give another name to living
and we can call it peace

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

There is only one real deprivation... and that is not to be able to give one's gifts to those one loves most.

Our heartfelt sympathies and prayers are with the people of Paris today. May God grant them the strength they need to get through this very sad and difficult time.

I don't understand this world we live in now
Praying for us all

Dear Lord our hearts break when we hear of the senseless violence around the world… they say they know the one true God but Lord, if they knew You God then they would never act as they do… Lord, I beg you to unite your people from every nation… help us to stand strong together in your name…♥

Marianne Williamson~ With ISIL having claimed responsibility for the attacks on Paris, the world has entered into a full on state of global crisis. All of us are integrating the realization that nothing will ever again be quite the same for our generation. The question before us now -- as seekers, as global citizens, as lovers of the world -- is not just what do we need to do, but who do we need to be in order to do it? We have before us a challenge that only the most evolved civilization can meet effectively, calling each of us to fast, to meditate, to pray, to do whatever it is we need to do to ready ourselves, to purify ourselves, and surrender ourselves for the task at hand. Each of us will be assigned our part, how we ourselves can help uplift the energy and prepare the ground, heal broken hearts and work the miracles that will bring down the Light that disperses darkness. And darkness, in time, will be no more.
Amen.

In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer.
And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger - something better, pushing right back.

Truly yours,
-Albert Camus

In the City of Lights the Parisians have put candles burning on their window sills. Looking out from my window I cannot count all the glowing candles as there are hundreds of them. "The light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it." John 1:5

Nothing is more fantastic. Nothing is more tragic.
Nothing is more sublime.” - Victor Hugo

Imagine all the people living life in peace. You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday you'll join us, and the world will be as one.
