Well I was walking down the street one day in the merry merry month of May
I love the month of May

Let all they joys be as the month of May
Francis Quarles

The month of May casts her magic spell as springs promise is finally fulfilled.  This month we turn our attention homeward, as we continue to weave simplicity into our daily round wile reacquainting ourselves with the transformative power of the third Simple Abundance principle  ORDER.  With fresh eyes and a loving appreciate heart, we reconsider our daily rounds.  As we learn to savor everyday ephiphanies, we encounter the sacred in the ordinary.

"Every child is a gift of nature. Give them their today. Give them
their time to play and make way for their future."

I open the door. The gorgeous guest from afar sweeps in. In her hands are her gifts~the gifts of hours and far seeing moments, the gift of morning and evenings, the gift of spring and summer, the gift of autumn and winter. She must have searched the heavens for boons so rare.

Dear Lord...
Give me strength... so I may uplift those who are weak
Give me courage... so I may rescue those in despair
Give me peace... so I may soothe those in turmoil
Give me food... so I may feed those who are hungry
Give me light... so I may drive away the darkness in the lives of others
Give me love... so I may douse the pain of others
I ask for strength, courage, peace, food, light and love.

May we have the strength to feel someone else's pain more than we feel our own. A prayer is that which benefits others... not ourselves. Today let us pray and bless those around us. God Bless you all!

Birds are a miracle because they prove to us that there is a finer, simpler state of being which we may strive to obtain. ~ Doug Coupland

The first day of May is probably just an ordinary day for you and your family. But for centuries, many cultures have celebrated May Day as the first day of summer, even though May 1st comes near the start of spring.
It’s a time for saying goodbye to the long, cold winter and welcoming warmer weather by gathering flowers, singing, dancing and, even flirting.
May Day traditions include the crowning of a May queen (and sometimes a king) to oversee the day’s activities. Children and grown-ups might fill May baskets with candy or flowers and secretly leave them on neighbors’ porches. People were told that if they went outside early on May 1 and washed their face with dew, their skin would be more beautiful.
