Today is the Vernal Equinox, or the official beginning of spring.
It'll start at exactly 6:45 p.m. EST today, when the sun shines directly on the equator and day and night are of equal length. 
Tonight, we’ll also have a Black Supermoon! That’s when the new moon is closest to the earth in its orbit - but since it’s a new moon, it won’t be visible; therefore it’s a Black Supermoon.
