Mom… a word every woman wants to hear… every women wants to experience motherhood in her life…… when a woman becomes a mom, everything for her changes, all her priorities, her job, her whole life…. she then becomes a full-time nanny because she never wants to leave her child alone… her children hold her heart forever and she starts seeing her world through her kids… they can lean on her for anything and everything… no matter how much work she has to do, her first priority is always her kids and they too look toward their mom for everything… she is there whenever they need a friend to share some secrets or need a shoulder to cry on or someone to lead them towards the right way… A MOTHER is always there and no matter how old we get, we still depend on our mother for so many things…. Mom's Journey ...

The young mother set her foot on the path of life.
"Is this the long way?"
she asked.

And the guide said, "Yes, and the way is hard.
And you will be old before you reach the end of it.
But the end will be better than the beginning.

But the young mother was happy,
and she would not believe that anything could be better than these years.
So she played with her children, she fed them, and bathed them,
and taught them to tie their shoelaces and ride a bike
and do their homework and brush their teeth.

The sun shone on them, and the young mother cried,
"Nothing will ever be lovelier than this."
Then the nights came, and the storms,
and the path was sometimes dark, and the children shook with fear and cold,
and the mother drew them close and covered them with her arms,
and the children said,
"Mother, we are not afraid for you are near,
and no harm can come."

And the morning came, and there was a hill ahead,
and the children climbed and grew weary,
and the mother was weary too.
But at all times she said to the children,
"A little patience and we are there."
So the children climbed, and as they climbed,
they learned to weather the storms.
And with this, she gave them strength to face the world.

Year after year, she showed them compassion, understanding,
hope, but most of all...unconditional love.
And when they reached
the top they said, "Mother, we could not have done it without you."

The days went on, and the weeks and the months and the years,
and the mother grew old and she became little and bent.
But her children were tall and strong, and walked with courage.
And the mother, when she lay down at night looked up at the stars
and said, "This is a better day than the last, for my children have
learned so much and are now passing these traits on to their children."

And when the way became rough for her,
they lifted her and gave her their strength,
just as she had given them hers.
One day they came to a hill,
and beyond the hill, they could see a shining road
and golden gates flung open.
And the mother said, "I have reached the end of my journey.
And now I know that the end is better than the beginning,
for my children can walk with dignity and pride,
with their heads held high, and so can their children after them."

And the children said,
"You will always walk with us, Mother,
even when you have gone through the gates."

And they stood and watched her as she went on alone,
and the gates closed after her.
And they said,
"We cannot see her, but she is with us still.
A mother like ours is more than a memory.
She is a living presence."

Your Mother is always with you

She's the whisper of the leaves as you walk down the street.

She's the smell of certain food you remember, flowers you pick, the fragrance of life itself.

She's the cool hand on your brow when you are not feeling well.

She's your breath in the air on a cold winter day.

She's the sound of the rain that lulls you to sleep, the colors of a rainbow; she is Christmas morning.

Your Mothers lives inside your laughter.

She is the place you come from, your first home, and she's the map your follow with every step you take.

She's your first Love, your first Friend, even your first enemy, but not on earth can separate your not time, not space...not even death.

Forever in our Hearts

It would have been my beloved Mother's earth birthday today
No words can ever express how much I miss you
Treasured and adored in Heaven as you were on this earth
I love you Mom
someday we shall share eternity forever

Oh, that I had wings like a dove.
I would fly away and be at rest."
Psalm 55:6

But there's a story behind everything. How a picture got on a wall. How a scar got on your face. Sometimes the stories are simple, and sometimes they are hard and heartbreaking. But behind all your stories is always your mother's story, because hers is where yours begin.”

― Mitch Albom, For One More Day

Today was my late beloved Mom's Earth Birthday.
She would have been 83 today

Each day she is cherished and adored in Heaven
as she was on Earth

I miss you more than words can ever ever say

I shall wear your necklace today
and remember every beautiful thing about you.

Mom is a word I cherish both for the most beloved Mother I had here on Earth and for the Mother I am proud to be. Cherish the role of Mother it is very sacred indeed. If you bungle raising children anything else you do in life is of very little significance

There is nothing more beautiful than a rainbow - but it takes both rain and sunshine to make one. If life is to be rounded and many-colored, like a rainbow, both joy and sorrow must come to it.

I also wore this necklace July 2011
when my Son and his wife held their
Canadian wedding reception here in Windsor
and we danced to All You Need is Love

What we have once enjoyed
we can never lose.
All that we love deeply
becomes a part of us.
~Helen Keller~

A good woman is proud.
She respects herself and others.
She is aware of who she is.
She neither seeks definition from the person she is with, nor does she expect them to read her mind.
She is quite capable of articulating her needs.
A good woman is hopeful.
She is strong enough to make all her dreams come true.
She knows love, therefore she gives love.
She recognizes that her love has great value and must be reciprocated.
If her love is taken for granted, it soon disappears.
A good woman has a dash of inspiration and a dabble of endurance.
She knows that she will at times have to inspire others to reach the potential God gave them.
A good woman knows her past, understands her present and forces toward the future.
A good woman knows God.
She knows that with God the world is her playground, but without God she will just be played with.
A good woman does not live in fear of the future because of her past.
Instead, she understands that her life experiences are merely lessons meant to bring her closer to self-knowledge and unconditional self-love...

Dear Lord...
Give me strength... so I may uplift those who are weak
Give me courage... so I may rescue those in despair
Give me peace... so I may soothe those in turmoil
Give me food... so I may feed those who are hungry
Give me light... so I may drive away the darkness in the lives of others
Give me love... so I may douse the pain of others
I ask for strength, courage, peace, food, light and love.

May we have the strength to feel someone else's pain more than we feel our own. A prayer is that which benefits others... not ourselves. Today let us pray and bless those around us. God Bless you all!

May is such a beautiful month.

Let all thy joys be as the month of May
~Francis Quarles

The first day of May is probably just an ordinary day for you and your family. But for centuries, many cultures have celebrated May Day as the first day of summer, even though May 1st comes near the start of spring.
It’s a time for saying goodbye to the long, cold winter and welcoming warmer weather by gathering flowers, singing, dancing and, even flirting.
May Day traditions include the crowning of a May queen (and sometimes a king) to oversee the day’s activities. Children and grown-ups might fill May baskets with candy or flowers and secretly leave them on neighbors’ porches. People were told that if they went outside early on May 1 and washed their face with dew, their skin would be more beautiful.
